Putrajaya -
The Government has launched an all out offensive against Bruno Mars, and his not so latest single, "The Lazy Song".
The Minister of Music, Rhythm, and Tempo, Datuk Nasiruddin Abdul Talib, was quoted on the government site saying that "the last thing this country needs is for the people to have an anthem to be lazy." The Former Minister of Dance and Beats also stated that "the last thing this country needs is more lazy people."
Starting Tomorrow, the Lazy Song will be banned from being aired on all radio stations, and policemen will roam the streets, checking handphones and mp3 players for the song. The tune will be deleted instantly if found, and culprits can be fined a maximum of RM2000 or a serve a jail sentence for 2 months or both.
The American heartthrob which came to Malaysia recently was asked by the Ministry to change his lyrics, due to fear that 'laziness will conquer this nation via the airwaves', but, Mr. Mars stood by his firm belief that 'laziness too, is a human right' and that 'it was stated in the United Nations charter that if one chooses to be lazy, then so be it'.
Teenage girls and immature adults which adore the American are expected to flood twitter and facebooks with status updates protesting the ban. Miss F, said the was 'outraged that such drastic action is taken', and felt that 'it is only a song'.
The Ministry was and still is powerless to stop these artist spreading 'negative influences' in this country. As a 'counter offense' to the song, the Ministry has hired M. Nasir to compose the song "Lagu Rajin" which will hit the airwaves next month.
Lagu Rajin, which also features other local artists such as Caprice, MiszNina, and Hujan, has 'the right elements to visualize Vision 2020' said Nasiruddin. The Minister plans to force all students to sing 'Lagu Rajin' during school assemblies, similar to what the youth generation did during the days with the brainwashing rhythm of 'Jalur Gemilang' and 'Keranamu Malaysia', but it will need some planning out and discussion with the Education Ministry before the plan comes to fruition.
