But you see, Facebook pages are useless, powerless. Let's see the first page, '1 Million Malaysians reject 100 Story Mega Tower', the 5 Billion ringgit project, or Menara Warisan. The price itself is dropping jaws across the nation, one tower, 5 Billion Ringgit? Seriously? But that is besides the point.
The point is, there are 296 939+- people who like this page, and that is a lot people. But what has the government done? Has the page made any progress? Have there been talks held, to explain why a tower is being built instead of improving education, or developing rural areas? As far as I know, no, there aren't. Maybe one or two articles in the paper, but basically no.
Second page, 'Rosmah Mansur sila minta maaf pada umat islam'. The PM's wife held an 'islamic fashion show' in Monaco (IIRC), and the dresses were sexy. Basically, the Islamic Fashion show was 100% unislamic, and gave a negative image to islam. So the page was made. There are 111 361 people who like the page. But has the woman apologised? As far as I know, no. If not, surely the page must be brought down.
The third page, was made 3 to 4 days ago, '1M Malaysians Don't Want SKMM Block File Sharing Website'. Now, you guess, is the Malaysian government going to entertain some dudes on Facebook who just press the 'like' button? No. A mouseclick is not the answer.
So what if a million people pressed a like button? The clicks fall on deaf ears.
Now the pages are filled with bullshit the admins paste. But what about the actual cause they were 'fighting' for? No, it was a lie. Facebook pages are useless.
