I love quotes. I really do, sometimes they make me smile. I go to my friend's blog, and at the end of almost every post, there is some picture stolen from tumbler, similar to the quote I have here.
As much as I love quotes, they're not always right. But quotes of love, this quote in particular, makes my eyebrow go crazy, 'cause it pisses me off.
I am not a person to write about love, but I don't think this quote works, because love (for me), is not sticking around. It isn't about not letting go. It isn't about that. It's about wanting the best for something, not just someone. If I love my mum, then I want what'es best for her. I will try my best to please her in ways I can.
There's no difference if it were love between a man and a woman? Or two men for that matter? Or two women for that matter? If you love someone, then do what's best for them. If I grow up to be an abusive husband, then it is best for me to let go (after trying to stop), and not hurt my wife. And it is best for my wife (after trying to change me) to leave me as well.
Let's not go crazy about every single quote though, we don't have the time for that. I'm just saying, that some people may not know that these quotes are just nice words to read during some situations. But the thing is, there are people out there who take these quotes way too seriously, and I don't want that to happen.
So if you love something, someone, then do what is best for them, even if it means leaving them.
note: if this quote has (a) context, people will take if out of context, and apply the quote in another situation, (which is what I may have done by accident) which is why, if there is a universal quote, then let's stick to that one, so no problems pop up later.
note 2: I may have already written about this before I am sorry if I have
note 3: it isn't your blog, I made that story up, jangan perasan
