I asked an old man, 'if the Sultans are head of Islam and Arms, shouldn't they be religious and have Rambo like skills on the battlefield?"
The old man stroked his beard not once, not twice, but three times and said
"the Sultans are symbols my son, their job is not to defend us, but for us to defend them."
Then it hit me, Malaysia is a big symbol. If the head of Economy in our country is the Minister of Finance, then shouldn't he have a PhD in Economy or something?
How can the man who has Malaysia in his fingertips be overweight when there are fishermen who count grains of rice before going to sleep to ensure their children have something to eat in the morning? How can the man in charge wear luxurious suits, when farmers have to work the fields til dark to make sure their children have school uniforms to wear to school?
Is this how a country is run? It is unfair to judge a world leader by body weight, I know. But I have to let this out. Because then I read about this man, Ahmadinejad.
Read this if you can, just the 2 or so paragraphs.
And I quote
"
Many reports say that after Saddam Hussein invaded Iran, Ahmadinejad joined the Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution[10] and served in their intelligence and security apparatus,[10] but his advisor Mojtaba Samareh Hashemi says "He has never been a member or an official member of the Revolutionary Guards", having been a Basiji-like volunteer instead.[30]
Ahmadinejad was accepted to a Master of Science program at his alma mater in 1986. He joined the faculty there as a lecturer in 1989,[7][31] and in 1997 received his doctorate in civil engineering and traffic transportation planning.[7][10]"

The man has a doctorate. But does his country 'gelabah' and go call him 'Dr Ahmad' or something? The man is close to the people, but does the country 'gelabah' and call him 'Pak Ahmad' or something? The man contributes a lot to the country, but does the country go ahead and call him 'Bapa Kemajuan' or something? No, he is humble, and enjoys a low profile.
Come on. The man is a true patriot, according to reports anyway. he served in the army instead of being busy being involved in politics, politics, and politics.
It isn't that I disrespect the Royals and the Ministers and Prime Ministers, but come, on. Compare all the men in Parliament to this short, hairy man. Can any politician compare? How many people in the Cabinet have PhDs and also would risk their lives in the battlefield for Negaraku, instead of counting their chins (membilang bilangan dagu, keranya bilangannya melebihi satu) back at home in Putrajaya?
You guess.
I am sorry if I offended your Malaysian political idols, and/or offended you. It's just, when we compare, we see.
