No Finish Finish

It was April 2008, Chemistry, 2 hours of Chemistry. We entered the classroom, and there she was. The General Elections ended in March, and the ruling Party finally lost its two thirds majority.

The teacher stood up, and gave a lecture about how Malays should rule the country. About how the Chinese were taking over. About how the Malays were fighting each other.

I sighed, not this again.

I read the papers, and it's about Malays Malays Malays.

I open facebook, and all my Malay friends are going Malays Malays Malays.

Since when did Malaysia consist of only Malays? Since was it written in the constitution that the Malays should hold the power? My Malay friend claims to be religious. And yet, he is pro Malay. Since when was it written in the Quran that the Malays should rule the country?

Balik-balik, Melayu. Aduhai.

Tak habis-habis Melayu. Politik pun nak buat parti Melayu. I always thought that politics should be a bunch of people who want the same thing, not share the same skin colour. But what do we see? Melayu pergi geng Melayu, India pergi geng India, Kadazandusun geng Kadazandusun etc etc.

Where does this 1Malaysia thing apply? Look at the schools, Cina sekolah Cina. Melayu sekolah MRSM, again, where is this 1Malaysia?

I am an adult, which can think. You can lie to those who don't observe, but not to those who think. Come on, 1Malaysia sini, 1Malaysia sana, but it's just a slogan without application. Siap ada lagu lagi 1Malaysia, jangan main-main! But who are we trying to kid?

Oh yes, we are trying to fool the stupid ones who don't read, nor observe. And since Malaysia has a very very low reading rate thingy, this 1Malaysia sells like hot cakes. H-o-t c-a-k-e-s.

You know what? Brownies secret recipe sedap gle dowh.
