Vernal Conjunctivitis (da boleh comment da tuh)

This is a short post. Simply from pasting from medical sites, to tell followers why my eyes are red. The cause of my oh-so-sexy eyes is because i am naturally sexy, and ALSO because i have VERNAL CONJUNCTIVITIS. (please do not try to say aloud because you will look stupid).

Definition

Vernal conjunctivitis is swelling (inflammation) of the outer lining of the eyes due to an allergic reaction

Causes

Vernal conjunctivitis often occurs in people with a strong family history of allergies. It is most common during the spring and summer.

The condition causes itchy, watery eyes. The underside of the eyelids may become rough and covered with bumps and a whitish mucus. The area around the cornea where the white of the eye and the cornea meet (limbus) may become rough and swollen. If this swelling and roughness moves over the cornea, it may cause scarring and decreased vision. (the wounds may be gone but the scars wont go!! sobz)

Symptoms

• Burning eyes
• Discomfort in bright light (photophobia) (which is why i wear Elton John specs in form 5, and why somethims i close my right eye, thus being called "lanun@pirate" at my driving centre by my teacher)
  
• Itching eyes
• Watering eyes

WHY DID I NOT HAVE THIS CONDITION BEFORE?

Well in cooler climates, VC (oooooooooooooooh, ringkasan Vernal bla3 makes me look cool) is prevented or as we medical peeps call it, apa eh, shit lupa. Nevermind. Anyway in this hot nation, i am more prone to VC (oooooooooooh).
